Women's Self Defense

Picture
Women's Self Defense Seminars are primarily taught by women instructors and emphasize Shock, Scream, and Run tactics.  Through these programs women focus on techniques that are simple to learn and quickly effective against a variety of attacks.  In addition the seminars also address the mental aspects of self defense such as the "fight or flight" reflex, body posture, and how to recognize situations.

1 Day Seminar
This short seminar introduces the basics of self-defense, including simple to learn techniques that can be quickly applied to defend against a variety of attacks from the front.  Women will have the chance to practice the techniques against pads or heavy bags to develop confidence with attacking as well as learning how to use their voice to resist attack and draw attention.
6 Week Self Defense Course
With this seminar women have the opportunity to cover additional self-defense techniques such as using knees and elbows.  Through this longer course, women can learn how to escape a variety of grabs, including being grabbed from behind or by the wrist.
Black Belt Training
Through Black Belt training women learn not just the basics of self defense, but also develop the strength and flexibility to consistently and effectively apply their skills to protect themselves and their family.
