Free Community Lesson: Women's Self-Defense
This in-person seminar, led by female instructors, introduces the basics of self-defense, including simple to learn techniques that can be quickly applied to defend against a variety of attacks from the front. Women will have the chance to practice the techniques against pads or heavy bags to develop confidence with attacking as well as learning how to use their voice to resist attack and draw attention.

6 Week Beginning Women's Self-Defense
This in-person seminar, led by female instructors, introduces the basics of self-defense from the Shock, Scream, and Run strategy for self-defense. Over the six weeks women will have the chance to learn techniques against punches, grabs, chokes, and bear-hugs as well as discuss the mental aspects of self-defense such as body posture. This seminar is available in two levels. The level one program focuses on basic coordination and emphasizes using hands for striking and blocking. The level two program emphasizes using the lower body to generate power and evade attacks. It is recommended that you take the programs in order.
