Black Belt Training
Teens and Tweens Black Belt Training for Juniors (the teen and tween age group from 10 to 16 years old) emphasizes external strength development, coordination, and balance through Kong Su (Tae Kwon Do/Karate) and Udo/Juijitsu. Lessons are structured to promote mentally developing self-confidence, discipline, and mental calm. These valuable life skills help students resist negative social pressures and balance the academic pressures of junior high and high school. In addition, juniors also have the opportunity to build leadership skills through intern programs and Assistant Instructor training opportunities.

Children The Kirkland School offers a very robust training program for children, including a rapidly growing Pre-Kids lesson for 4 and 5 year olds. Children's group lessons are balanced to engage a young child's attention and help them burn off a little energy while developing discipline, mental focus, and the ability to follow directions. Through Traditional Martial Arts children have a fun and engaging way to build strength and coordination in their bodies and develop a foundation of long term life skills such as mindfulness, the ability (and willingness) to take on challenging tasks, and learning how to work as part of a team.
