Tai Chi Chung
Tai Chi is a soft martial art style, developed in the southern parts of China. The offensive and defensive elements of Tai Chi are hidden within the smooth, gentle movements. Each form flows into the next, gracefully replicating the movements of nature, such as the swaying of willow branches in a gentle breeze, or clouds slowly changing in shape or form. By challenging the body to move slowly, practitioners physically improve balance, body control, flexibility, and strength. Through timing the breath with the movements of the body, practitioners also develop mental calm and reduce stress.
