White Belt Program (Adults)

Picture
Traditional Martial Arts, like Oom Yung Doe, can help us make phenomenal changes in our lives both mentally and physically. Often these powerful movements, which have been practiced and refined over centuries, can give us positive changes we couldn't even imagine before we started practicing.  Now is the time to start improving your condition both mentally and physically. Whether you want to loose weight, reduce stress,  learn self defense, or something else Oom Yung Doe practice can help you improve your condition.
As a White Belt you can learn:
  • Self Defense through simple to learn but quickly effective techniques
  • Balance and agility through transitioning in and out of lower body positions
  • Strength through Kong Su style (hard style like Tae Kwon Doe or Karate) hand attacks and blocks
  • Fluidity and stamina through Coo Yong Bope (9 Dragons Form), a beginning level Kung Fu form
  • Mental calm and stress relief through breathing techniques and Tai Chi
No previous experience needed!
Come as you are and see what you can gain.

Physical Benefits

Through the proper practice of Oom Yung Doe, you can get a full body workout, including cardio, in just 30 minutes!  A workout that might otherwise take a several hours and multiple machines at the gym. Oom Yung Doe practice emphasizes both the large muscle groups and the smaller tendons and ligaments. This balanced approach reduces the risk of long term damage and in some cases can even improve tightness and limitations from previous injuries, making it easier to keep doing what we love such as hiking, lifting weights, running, cycling, or just keeping up with the kids.

Mental Benefits

We all know study after study link breathing and movement to stress relief. With 8 styles of Martial Arts as part of our training, you have the tools to find the best stress relief method for you.  Whether it's focused breathing and gentle movement like Tai Chi Chung and Bagua, or a high intensity physical practice like Kong Su (Tae Kwon Doe / Karate) or Kung Fu, taking a little time out of your day to focus on breathing and moving, helps build the mental calm and focus that can go with you into the workplace, home, or school.

Improve in a Short Time

The movement from Oom Yung Doe is so powerful, many students begin to see a change in their first month of consistent training. Within the first three months students tend to see a much larger change in strength, flexibility, coordination, determination, confidence, and discipline.  Check out the photos to the right to see how students have gained not just strength and flexibility by being able to go lower in a challenging position, but also in the strength and confidence with which they carry themselves too.

See what Students have to say

"With my original training program [triathlon training], rest days were essential to recover from the lactic buildup burn but those days also left me with a sense of decreased fitness. With Moo Doe, it’s just the opposite. Going through the movements again the next day after a hard session actually eliminates the burn and re-establishes a stronger foundation. That is just one of exciting learning opportunities with Oom Yung Doe that I’m thankful for and I look forward to this journey."
