My experience at the Weekend Seminar was in a way what I expected, but at the same time was way more than I ever thought. The practice in the pool was something I always wanted to do when I first heard about it and it has greatly helped my training. The time with the higher belts was yet again something I gained in wisdom and how to carry myself. In two days I gained months of understanding and feel more and more part of a family with the Instructors and fellow students.

REJUVINATION, REVITALIZATION, REINVIGORATION . . . . . All feelings I've had this weekend. The form for this Weekend Seminar seemed perfectly targeted for my personal needs at this point in my training. I have been working on my mid and low back flexibility and strength, and Yuk Kun Kyung Su targets precisely what I need. The form has also been wonderful for me to prepare for meditation. I have found the Nae Shim Gong meditation to be very cleansing, helping me to remove negative from my mind and body. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

I'm really feeling like I'm building some internal strength. I'm exhausted physically, but also feel like I could do anything. I have all of this stored......or tap-able energy. I love the feel of the water. Its fun to have such a tactile sensation to the moving of......to the energetic flow. I'm also really enjoying how the movements require my mind to focus in a different way. I feel like I'm really pulling up and replenishing deep things. And this resort is amazing. So much beauty and fresh life. I'm surrounded by so much wisdom ......Such a giant pool. And I've never been so thirsty. Thank you so much to the Instructors for sharing and caring.

I'm very happy to make it. It was wonderful that we found the resort because the swimming pool was without chlorine and part of the movement we were doing was inside, which protected us from the cold weather and it was so comfortable. After the seminar I felt great. I understand movement much better than before. Hope I will make it again. Thank you very much for your attention.

In this Weekend Seminar I experienced new movement that can improve my internal strength. These movements I learned in the pool, it seems to me that it makes me feel stronger and more relaxed. I love this Weekend Seminar because it makes me stronger and more challenging.

This weekend has been an excellent experience. I was a competition swimmer for 11 years but I think I enjoy doing these movements more. I have felt very calm and peaceful after my practice and meditation, and I have felt that my internal and external are more connected. I have also had opportunities to ask AHNI Samson some questions that I have had. It has been very good to speak with him and to feel how he cares about me and my development. It has also been good to speak with NI Bob and to receive the wisdom and knowledge he passed. I am very grateful that Grandmaster has passed Moo Doe in the United States and that the higher belts have built themselves and continue to pass Moo Doe to us all.

My back has been tight for about 5 1/2 years or so, more specifically the lower right area. Having experienced the strengthening of my "bum" right knee, I knew it was simply a matter of time. Well my time came at the recent Weekend Seminar. The combination of movement in and out of the pool, with the movement in the water being the optimum benefit for me, my back has more range of motion than it has had in the last 5 years. It isn't completely whole again, but I know the process went through a radically positive change. Like I said earlier, it is simply a matter of time before it is not only corrected but better than before.
I'd like to thank AHNI Samson and the other higher belts for their knowledge and assistance.

My sincere thanks to Grandmaster and higher belts for their help and instruction in changing my reality. This phrase is used often, but like much of Moo Doe, there is much more to it than is visible on the surface. It is difficult to apply what one has learned. It is ever more difficult to embrace that knowledge in such a way as to significantly and permanently change one's life. It is much more easy to revert to old patterns, bad habits, and current realities. With the help of higher belts and the teachings of Grandmaster, I have been provided the opportunity to truly change my reality. The door is open and it is up to me to walk through it. That is the hard part. I hope to stay focused and continue on the path. I truly appreciate this weekend for reaffirming the correctness of this journey.

The Weekend Seminar gives students the chance to develop and grow more rapidly than with merely the curriculum training. This enhanced development is, at least in part, due to the time spent with high ranking instructors, the specialized movements not normally passed in the day to day curriculum, and the more rigorous training regiment. At this Weekend Seminar we focused on movement in water. In order to move in water we had to focus on using our middle body stomach area and controlled breathing. After moving through water for extended periods of time, the same movements come up much easier when on land, and water movement principles can be applied to do a movement more naturally, more powerfully using your entire body together rather than just one part at a time. We also focused on meditation. We learned movements to prepare us for the meditation and breathing techniques to focus on while meditating. We were instructed to visualize the breath as cleansing our bodies, bringing in positive and pushing out negative. I have found that after, or while meditating I might realize an answer or solution to some problem that I have, or I will end meditation with a very calm relaxed feeling and a slightly different perspective on the world.
At the Weekend Seminar I am able to train for hours at a time, multiple times a day and yet not be overly tired or sore.

I came to this seminar with a lot of stress. In only two days I've released much of it, and now I feel more relaxed than I have in a long time. The movement worked into me very deeply this time. There is a strong sense of camaraderie among the students and the environment seemed to work with the movement. I know I'm leaving this seminar stronger and healthier. And not just physically.

Before the weekend seminar I was having a lot of physical problems and was unable to go through an entire main lesson. After one day of practicing in the pool, I feel rejuvenated. My shoulders are relaxed and decreased significantly in pain. I am able to turn my head without tightness or popping. I am also able to raise my left arm straight up without any pain. My posture has improved and I feel stronger than I have in months. My body actually feels the way it did before I was in a car accident in July; only a few aches, no constant tightness or pain.

Once again I have found that I can go furthest in my meditation at weekend and weeklong seminars. I was amazed out how relaxed and calm I felt even after the first half of the first day. My whole body felt loose and relaxed, in some way heavy, but when I went to go up a flight of stairs I felt like bounding up them. Since then I have noticed a difference in all my movements, but especially my kicks and my chung. My whole body moves together with them in a way it did not before and I can fell that it is more correct and much more powerful. I have also noticed the change in the students that I teach. Some of their kicks look completely different. The change I have seen would normally take one to two years practice, if not longer. This is especially true in middle aged students or students with issues in their hips and knees. I look forward to continuing my practice in the water. It would be easy for anyone to just have people practice movements they already have in the water, but in many cases it would be unbalanced. It is a very different thing to teach the correct movements and show how they should be practiced in the water so that everyone comes away improving without injury, regardless of condition. |
