Senator McAuliffe Says "Thank You"
I want to express my sincere appreciation to the School of Oom Yung Doe and your efforts to help our young people reach their full potential physically and socially. I was overwhelmed by the support of the families that the School of Oom Yung Doe embraces. Each person was recognized and valued for who they are. The diversity of your families was very impressive. At the presentation dinner I met Karl Kjono, and as a result, he just served as a Senate Page for me last week. He learned about his government and he really valued this experience. I will send you information on our page school program and I look forward to other young people having the opportunity to come to Olympia to serve as a page. Thank you again for the honor of receiving the Distinguished Citizen Award. I am very proud to display the plaque in my office.
